Muskogee Public Library is pleased to announce it is the recipient of a $4,000 grant from the Kirschner Trusts at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation to purchase books for families to build home libraries and healthy habits.
The Kirschner Trusts regularly awards Muskogee Public Library grants for books and programs, and the library typically gives the books away at its annual Touch-a-Truck Fundraiser, at library programs, and in conjunction with events tied to its StoryWalk at Honor Heights Park.
Muskogee Public Library is a branch of the Eastern Oklahoma Library System, which includes 15 libraries in six counties. The library system’s mission is to empower people by creating opportunities that enrich their lives with information, activities, and services, and all are thankful for the Kirchner Trusts’ continued support and forwarding of the system’s mission.
