Eastern Oklahoma Library System Overdue Fines Policy

Eastern Oklahoma Library System eliminated overdue fines in 2020. All charges on accounts prior to early 2020 were wiped clean.

Since then, overdue items do not accrue late fees. However, there are lost item charges that can occur.

Items are considered overdue on the day following the due date. Pre-overdue text messages are sent to borrowers three days before an item’s due date

Patrons are notified the day after an item is due. Two weeks later, a bill is sent to the patron informing them of the cost of the itemIf an item is lost, patrons will be charged for the cost of the item. No refunds will be given if an item has been paid for and then found. Patrons will be blocked from checkout if they owe $50.00 or more
