Marketing and Social Media Coordinator

EOLS is seeking an energetic, proactive individual with fresh ideas to share the EOLS story and encourage more people to use our libraries’ resources. The Marketing Manager and Social Media Coordinator will bring creativity to our marketing efforts, social media presence, and media relations, discovering engaging ways to showcase our programs, services, personnel, and community impact. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who identifies great stories, takes initiative, and knows how to transform these narratives into captivating content that attracts people and brings them through our doors.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Exceptional writing, editing, verbal, visual, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing, media relations, branding, digital communications, and social media strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Strong project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with website content-management systems, social media platforms, analytics tools, digital advertising platforms, and graphic-design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with media outlets, community partners, and EOLS staff and patrons.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Three years of relevant experience.
  • Level I (or higher) Oklahoma Public Librarian Certification, obtained on the job.

Full Job Description

Standard Schedule: 40 hrs. per week; includes some evenings and Saturdays.

Beginning salary: $42,171 – $62,171, depending on experience.

Plus an excellent benefits package.
