Grove Public Library Celebrates Launch of its StoryWalk® at Grove Centennial Park

GROVE, OK — Grove Public Library, a branch of the Eastern Oklahoma Library System, recently celebrated the grand opening of its new StoryWalk® at Grove Centennial Park.

The StoryWalk® is a permanent installation featuring pages from a children’s book displayed along a walking path, encouraging families to read together while enjoying the outdoors. The project aims to encourage physical activity, promote outdoor engagement, and support a healthy lifestyle mindset.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.

Funding for the Grove Public Library StoryWalk® is provided by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and the Institute of Museum and Library Services, with additional support from the City of Grove, the Grove Rotary Foundation, and TSET.

This activity is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
