04 Oct Repairs and Renovation Nearly Complete at Eufaula Memorial Library
Fall is here and the days are a little cooler. Although we are temporarily closed for renovations, we have programs and library services at the Eufaula Community Center. While we are at the Community Center you can check books in and out, and use Chromebooks. You can also order items from other libraries. Follow us on Facebook for any updates.
There are lots of new improvements at Eufaula Memorial Library and I am excited we will reopen soon. All the mold has been removed and new drywall has been installed. Texture has been added and it looks as good as new! Every wall has been painted and it looks fresh and clean. New windows have been installed in the children’s area giving a more modern look. All the flooring has been removed and we are awaiting the shipment of the new flooring this week. Lastly, the most exciting thing is new light fixtures have been installed in the main library area and the meeting room. They brighten up the spaces!
I want to thank the City of Eufaula for all their support. They have replaced the siding on the west side of the building, repaired leaks in the roof, replaced the leaking windows, and got the mold remediation company to remove the mold. They also helped us move furniture to storage so construction could begin. I also want to thank the Friends of the Eufaula Memorial Library for their support. Their monetary donation to this project and help with fundraising is appreciated.
I would like your help in completing this project. There has been a lot of progress in the last few weeks, and I want to keep the momentum going. To reopen the Eufaula Memorial Library we need more funds to replace the rest of the light fixtures and furnish the library. Any amount that will help us reach this goal is appreciated.
