It’s Not Too Late to Sign Up for the Summer Reading Challenge, Fun Programs Coming in July

Despite closing our building temporarily for repairs, we are excited about the holiday coming up next week. Eufaula Memorial Library has a couple of awesome programs for all ages that will be held at the Community Center or Legacy on Main thanks to their generous offer of space for us to continue to serve the community.

The kids and teens program schedule for the week of July 1-5 is as follows:

— Tuesday, July 2 the magician Keith Coast at 10 a.m. at the Eufaula Community Center. This is for all ages.

— Wednesday, July 3, primary and teen tie-dye at 1 p.m. at the Community Center. This is for ages 6-18.

Have you signed up for Beanstack yet? It’s not too late! Beanstack is the platform we use to keep track of the number of minutes read for Summer Reading. We have prizes for signing up and for each 100 minutes logged in Beanstack.

We also have a grand prize to be given away at the end of July. How do you win the grand prize? Your name will be put in a drawing when you sign up and log in every 100 minutes. Every time you attend a Summer Reading Program your name will be put into the drawing.

We have four age groups for the grand prize; 0-5 years, 6-11 years, 12-18 years, and 19 and up. Beanstack is for ages 0 to 99.

You can also order, return, and pick up items at the Eufaula Community Center Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stop in and claim your Summer Reading prizes too.

Friends of Eufaula Memorial Library (FEML) is looking for new members to join and continue to help build the library. Their next monthly program luncheon is at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 19. Contact President Gail Rose at member.FEML@gmail.com to join.
