The Eastern Oklahoma Library System has named a new branch manager at Eufaula Memorial Library.

Amanda Grantham, who has a bachelor’s and master’s of education with an option in library media, taught in the public school system for 17 years, the last ten as a school librarian.

“I am very excited,” she said. “We have a wonderful staff here and I am looking forward to leading them in making the library even better.”

Grantham, who grew up in McAlester, Oklahoma, views the library as a major resource for all. “The library is a place for community members to use as a resource whether it be for books, research, using the wi-fi, or trying something new at a program,” she said. “My plan for Eufaula Memorial Library is to build a great partnership with the city and increase library program attendance.”
