Muldrow Public Library Launches StoryWalk® at Muldrow City Park Thanks to Grants From ODL and IMLS

Muldrow Public Library’s StoryWalk® installment has been completed! Thanks to the City of Muldrow for installing the signposts along the walking trail at Muldrow City Park. Special thanks to Oklahoma Department of Libraries and Institute of Museum and Library Science for the grants that allow Muldrow Public Library to offer this incredible, literacy-building program.

Friends of Muldrow Public Library are providing free flashlights for completing the walk and a survey for a soft-launch on the evening of Thursday, December 28, from 5:30-7 pm at the park. Please drop by!

StoryWalk® combines family time, physical activity, and literacy in a fun, interactive walk in nature. Follow the story page-by-page on the signs along the trail. Through this experience, we hope to encourage a lifelong love of reading and the great outdoors!

StoryWalk® is a health literacy initiative of the Muldrow Public Library and is sponsored by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and Institute of Museum and Library Services. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
